REMAINS OOC

In the interest of helping us all work towards satisfying endgames for our characters, our final activity check will run from March 27 to April 10!

To take part, create a new comment for each character and link us to at least one network or RPG URL that showcases an interaction that shifts your character closer to their endgame point. The date is set as such because ideally, endgame interactions should be begun by April 10 to ensure that we all have enough time to finish things out before the end of April 2017.

Feel free to link multiple endgame interactions here as the days go on if you have multiple plotpoints that you're concluding as well.

Still looking for opportunities and interactions? Check the endgame plotting spreadsheet (the lack of email notifications can make it hard to know if a conversation has been followed up on by the other party). We also have the open St. Patrick's Day scene here as well for backdating purposes.

Of course, you can also comment to people's endgame threads in this activity check to suggest ideas or ask for assistance.

Ready, Set, Ship! 1. Player A posts a comment for each character. 2. Players B, C, and D comment to Player A's posts with the name of one of their characters and any sort of prompt/guide (e.g., Coffee Shop AU, "____ is a Hellhound instead of a ______," "_____ is 30 instead of 20") 3. All That Remains... Hi all! Thank you again to everyone for chiming in after our request for feedback on a Remains endgame. We have LOVED playing with and getting to know all of you. This universe and its stories have been so much fun to experience together! Just like Austin has rebuilt itself into a growing, safe city, we've felt that many characters' storylines are beginning to come full circle and it seems as though many of you agree. Overall, the results of our feedback request have made it clear that everyone would love the chance to properly 'wrap' their characters before the game's end. With this in mind, we would like to officially announce that Remains will officially end its real-time progression on April 15, 2017 (April 5, 2020). We will post the final plot calendar on April 1, 2017. We encourage you to begin thinking about a satisfying end of this chapter of your characters' lives. Some characters may be best suited moving away from Austin to pursue new educational or career opportunities, while others may stay and move in with a loved one. Others still may be most fulfilled achieving a personal realization that has been holding them back. We will be posting memes in order to assist character development and plotting so we can all help each other reach our characters' full potential! After April 15, 2017, we strongly encourage you all to post 'epilogue' scenes with your characters, dated for any time in the future. ...Or Is It? What made us the happiest about feedback that we received was the fact that every single player is interested in continuing to create characters and storylines with each other, no matter the setting! We are very excited to also announce that when we post the last plot calendar on April 1, 2017, we will also be posting several setting/world ideas for us all to discuss and vote on. If you would like to suggest a setting idea in addition to the current ideas of "Fairy Tales In The Modern World" (a la Once Upon A Time or Fables) and Superheroes & Villains, please contact us directly to submit your ideas! We would LOVE for this upcoming GPSL to be an interactive, collaborative experience. Currently, we would like to have time from April 15, 2017 - May 15, 2017 in order to brainstorm together, create characters, solidify backstory and prospective plots, etc. before we begin our new GPSL starting May 15-20, 2017. Thank You! Thank you for being a significant part of memories and fun for the last two years. We hope your time in Remains has been just as fulfilling and enjoyable, and we are so excited to see what additional worlds and stories we can all create together! Now... onwards to plot!

Hey gang! It's been a little while since we've had a plotting post, and our hope is that this post will help us all get reinvigorated about our characters' personal journeys as well as stir up ideas and opportunities for us all to help each other make fun stuff happen!

Per character, fill out the below short questionnaire (answer any or all questions), then comment to each other and profit!~

Late January Activity Check will run from January 30 to February 3! If you notice that you're lacking activity for your characters, talk to your fellow players and stir something up for them :) Players on known hiatus do not need to complete activity check.

Special reminder that you may use any or all of your activity reduction credits from the new connection challenge, if desired, but you still need to post for the character and indicate as much.

1) Comment to this post before midnight PST on February 3. You can make one comment for all your characters, or comment during the four days for each character as you see fit. As long as it's in before midnight, you're good.
2) Per character, include a link to your activity piece set on December 31 or January 2020. One link per character is required.
3) Activity types: a network entry posted by your character, a Freenet/text message thread your character participated in (they do not need to have initiated the post to the community), an in-progress or completed scene, or a placeholder for a Google Doc scene that is still in-progress.
4) Not required but fun -- you can still comment to other people's activity comments to generate more ideas and plot.

Hey folks, meet my sixth character, Rebecca Russo!

She’s the ex-wife of Marc Russo, and boy is it going to be a surprise for her when they meet each other again. Since she moved to Austin, Rebecca has been working in the Real Estate and Business Development department at the Capitol. She’s been living in the city for quite a few months, and most of her work responsibilities have been assisting with housing and approving of new business applications, so it’s possible that she’s interacted with a few people because of that. Oh, and everyone can thank (or not thank) her for Dick’s Pizza.

Rebecca and her son, Joshua, previously lived in Chicago and then Denver after they evacuated Baltimore. She’s been doing the working mother thing for a few years, but hasn’t quite found a good balance (though she believes she has), and she might be just a little over-protective of her son, since he was bitten towards the end of 2018. I’m looking forward to business interactions, non-business interactions, and seeing how Rebecca integrates into the population of the city.
